Embedding Code in Google Sites

Use Code Wrapper to embed <objects> <embedded> <HTML>  <Script>

Embed Google Flash Audio player to play video and audio. Pass the name of the mp3 or video file using the flashvars parameter.
Found that this wont work on old browsers such as IE6 in XP. So in this case also provide the download link as an alternative.
As usual the older IE browser uses the <object> part while other browser use the <embed> part.

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0" width="400" height="27" >
<param name="movie" value="http://www.google.com/reader/ui/3523697345-audio-player.swf">
<param name="flashvars" value="audioUrl=https://sites.google.com/a/stmarksfh.org/public/mp3/2011-04-24-Sermon-MikeRoe.MP3">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="play" value="true">
<embed src="http://www.google.com/reader/ui/3523697345-audio-player.swf" width="400" height="27" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="audioUrl=https://sites.google.com/a/stmarksfh.org/public/mp3/2011-04-24-Sermon-MikeRoe.MP3"></embed>
</object>

Result is something like this...

Ahhhhhh!
So this week Code Wrapper gadget stopped working in the Chrome Browser. But I tried the Google's "Embed Gadget"  (see gadget 3 in the Featured section) and I found that this still works and takes <embedded> type tags as well as <object> tags.

Here is the result. Interesting that this just uses <embedded> but works fine on IE8.

Showing Flash at Any Size

Normally when you embed YouTube clips that are fixed at one size.
Well here is a method to embed Flash at any size.

Use the Gadget "URL Container"

Flash Player/URL container

The gadget spec URL could not be found
